After getting a tattoo, it is important to give special care to it during the healing process, as this is when damage to the final look most commonly occurs. Following the guidelines below will ensure the optimum quality of the tattoo after the healing process.

- Keep the tattoo covered for at least one hour.

- Once the cover has been removed, wash the tattoo well with hot, soapy water.

- Do not re-cover the tattoo.

- Do not pick at scabs.

- Avoid sunbeds and sun bathing for at least three weeks.

- Avoid swimming until all scabs are gone.

- Keep the tattoo clean; wash gently with hot soapy water every day.
